🎻 On Sunday evening, December 22nd I provided the live violin program during the annual Christmas dinner at the Collse Hoeve in Nuenen. In the beautifully decorated hall, with elegantly set tables and subtle Christmas lighting, guests enjoyed an evening entirely dedicated to atmosphere, culinary delights, and music.
Atmospheric location
The Collse Hoeve, located on the outskirts of Nuenen, is known as a characterful venue for dinners and parties. The warm, rustic decor and hospitable service make it a popular spot for special occasions. During the Christmas dinner, this atmosphere was further enhanced by the live music and festive decorations.
The concert
My contribution consisted of a varied program of classical works, light music, and well-known Christmas melodies. Think of pieces by Strauss, Vivaldi, Saint-Saëns, and Piazzolla, interspersed with recognizable Christmas classics such as Silent Night, White Christmas and The Christmas Song.
The music was tailored to the dinner: understated during the appetizer and main course, more pronounced towards dessert and the conclusion. This created a pleasant balance between background music and small musical moments where guests were also happy to dance.
