Music as a bridge between generations
On March 6, 2021, I had the privilege of performing at the Nicasius Residential Care Center in Heeze. I regularly visit care facilities to let residents enjoy live music, and this performance was no exception.
A varied musical concert
During the concert, I performed a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical pieces to beloved melodies from the residents' youth. In addition, I played Dutch-language songs and jazz, which created a recognizable and warm atmosphere.
Positive reactions and media attention
The residents' reactions were heartwarming; many indicated how much they had enjoyed the music. The performance also received attention in the local media, which underscores the community's involvement in such events.
Music as a connecting force
This experience once again highlights for me the power of music to connect people and bring joy, regardless of age or background. I look forward to providing more such performances in the future and contributing to the well-being of the residents.
Would you also like a concert for the residents of a care facility as part of their daily activities? This can be done in the morning or in the afternoon. Many residents have an unforgettable afternoon. I would love to come and perform at your elderly care facility.
Quite a few care facilities are already making use of this.
